The Buckshots are a band for any occasion. The members of this 3-piece band are David Gibler (guitar, vocals), Albert Kays (vocals, drums) and Jeff Jenkins (bass, vocals).
With diverse musical styles including rock, blues, country, R & B, Funk and jazz , this band is sure to please any crowd big or small. Whether your needs call for a dance, pub night, intimate setting or background music , The Buckshots can do it all in a fun, professional and entertaining manner.

THE BUCKSHOTS
David Gibler - a graduate of GIT (Guitar Institute of Technology ) in
California , performing since 1982. He made a name for himself with a variety of
original rock, metal and fusion bands in New York . 1996, he moved to PEI and was
hired as Music Director for Theatre PEI ’s production of "Idyll Gossip” and performed
in many Dinner Theatre productions which led to Assistant Music Director . David worked Arcade ,
Big Tilda, Mike Ross’s Solstice and more . He has been teaching guitar professionally since
1982 and now owns, operates and teaches at the Stratford Music Academy in Stratford , PEI .
Albert Kays - has performed professionally since 1984 . After enrolling in the Jazz
Program at St. F.X.U . in 1985 he went on to tour eastern Canada as a freelance
musician for a number of years. Upon his arrival home Albert has played with String Lingo ,
Paper Soul, Big Tilda, Tongue and Groove, and Cover Girl . After sitting on a drum throne
for over 20 years Albert thought the leap to centre stage would be a nice change. In 2004
he had the opportunity to sink his teeth into the role of Judas in the Rock Opera “Jesus
Christ Superstar”. The show ran to sold out audiences at the Confederation Centre of the
Arts that November.
Jeff Jenkins - has played electric bass for over 19 years . Jeff, an original
member of the popular university band Mystery Snail , has also played with Arcade and
Cover Girl throughout the Maritime Provinces . Jeff's rigorous work ethic has garnered
him the reputation as a great pick up player within the local music scene and has now
developed himself as a true freelance musician over the years. A long time coming,
Jeff’s desire to initiate (or co-initiate as David may say) his own project has
been realized with emergence of The Buckshots.
