Danny Vent

Teaching Beginner Guitar

Danny VentDanny was born in May 1991 and began his musical education in 1998, taking piano lessons. After 2 years of piano, Danny was keen to learn how to play the guitar. He began lessons for acoustic guitar in 2000. By 2002, he knew he wanted to switch to electric guitar. He got a Fender for Christmas that year, started electric guitar lessons, and has not looked back since. He has studied under David Gibler for 4 years now.

Danny plays the baritone (also known as the euphonium) in the school band at Charlottetown Rural High School - he played the same instrument in the band at Birchwood Intermediate, making this his 4th year on the baritone). He also plays guitar in a jazz combo directed by jazz guitarist Ian Toms.

Danny’s musical tastes are broad, but his main focus is rock fusion.

Danny plans to make a career out of playing electric guitar and plans to pursue music in university - hopefully at the Guitar Institute of Technology (G.I.T.) in California.
